摘要
The article presents an overview of applications of organic electrolytes in electrochemical supercapacitors. Organic electrolytes with large potential range dominate the commercial market. There are some associated drawbacks with organic electrolytes such as relatively high cost, smaller specific capacitance, high resistance, greater flammability, volatility, and toxicity. To encounter these disadvantages, methods for the development of newer organic salts and solvents are also discussed.
