Stability Analysis of the Synchronous Motor with Permanent Magnets at Synchronous and Positional Operation Modes

The paper discusses the dynamic stability of the synchronous motor with permanent magnet excitation. Stability of synchronous motor is analyzed as in the synchronous operating mode so and positional operating mode with feedback on the status of the rotor, i.e. in the mode of valve engine. The research is performed by the complete equations written in Rotary coordinate system in relative units. It is possible to obtain Analytical conditions of asymptotic stability "in the small" for all equilibrium operating modes of synchronous machine. Ranges of steady work for all adjustable coordinates of motor were refined by grateful this. The stability conditions received for both operating modes of the engine can be used for analysis and synthesis of synchronous motors with permanent magnets, as well as at the practical configuring of electric drives with this type of engines.
