Reactions of halogenoaliphatic acids with free radicals in aqueous solution. Part I. Reactions with hydrogen atoms

Rates of reactions of halogenoaliphatic compounds with hydrogen atoms and hydroxyl radicals were measured. The reactions with hydrogen atoms involve both hydrogen abstraction and dehalogenation. The dehalogenation by hydrogen atoms was shown to be an atom transfer rather than a charge-transfer process.
