Studies on the polymerization of bifunctional monomers. V. Polymerization of o‐bisepoxyethylbenzene and 1,2‐5,6‐bisepoxyhexane

Abstract o ‐Bisepoxyethylbenzene and 1,2–5,6‐bisepoxyhexane were polymerized by using several catalysts. Some properties of the polymers suggest that cyclopolymerization takes place in the polymerization of these bisepoxides. o ‐Bisepoxyethylbenzene was also polymerized by the irradiation of γ‐ray. Higher rate of polymerization was observed just below the melting point of the monomer.
