Effect of oxymatrine on hepatic fibrosis induced by hepatitis B

Objective To explore the effect of oxymatrine on hepatic fibrosis induced by hepatitis B. Methods Ninty eight patients with hepatic fibrosis induced by hepatitis B(curative group) were treated with oxymatrine.After six months of treatment, the levels of HBV DNA, serum HA,LN.PCIII and the degrees of hepatic fibrosis were examined. The above indices of 54 cases (control group) were examined too.Results The levels of HBV DNA of curative group were lower than control group.The levels of serum HA,LN and PCⅢ were reduced obviously than control group. The degree of hepatic fibrosis was modified obviously than control group. Conclusion Oxymatrine can reduce the degree of hepatic fibrosis.
