The properties of ZSM-5 zeolite and modifided ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts for low-olefin (C 2 =~C 5 =) aromatization were introduced. The result is that the aromatic hydrocarbon yield and selectivity of low-olefin or low-olefin mixture aromatization on ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts modified with some metals, such as Zn,Ga,Pt,Ni,Cd are increased greatly. The modifying metals and methods have different influences on low-olefin aromatization. The research result shows that ion exchange method is the best , impregnation is better than physical mixing method. And there is optimum loading content of modifying metals on modified ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts, for instance, the content of Cd is no more than 0.8%. The operation conditions, such as reaction temperature, space velocity and carrier gas are discussed, too.The results are that the reaction temperature is 350~500 ℃,the space velocity isn't much higher, H 2 as carrier gas is better than N 2. The mechanism of low-olefin aromatization was also discussed,and the prospect of application of process of low-olefin aromatization on low-olefin gasoline was predicted as well.
