Teachers' Styles in the Teacher-student Interaction

Based on Leary's model of interpersonal interaction,this study investigated 4848 students' perceptions of interpersonal interaction style of the teachers in charge of their classes in Beijing.The results show that the teachers are highly dominant on one side;while very friendly on the other side in the interaction with students.There are four interaction styles,which are rule-oriented,tolerant and indulging,kind and authoritative,and indifferent and autarchy.
