Objective: To investigate the effect of nano-medium material on the metal-porcelain bond strength of new type Co-Cr ceramic and framework dental alloy. Methods: Before applied for porcelain, the metal specimens made from DA9-4 dental alloy were coated with two kinds of nano-medium materials as nano-SiO2 and nano-gold particles. The pull-rod samples made from DA9-4 alloy and VMK95 porcelain were used for metal-porcelain bond strength measurement, and the metal-porcelain compounds were used for SEM observation and X-ray element energy analysis. Results: The bonding strength of metal-porcelain of experiment groups was significantly(P 0.01) higher than that of control group. Conclusion: The nano-medium material had a positive effect on improving the bonding strength of DA9-4 dental alloy and ceramic.
