Inestigation into HBsAg Infection among 3260 students newly admitted

Objective: In order to know HbsAg infection among students who are newly admitted tocollege so as to take measures to control its spread. Method: A general check up was given to the new students in the two weeke after they entered college, and at the time their blood was tested to see their HBsAg conditions.For those who were HBsAg positive, the five indexes of Hepatitis B were tested with ESESA method. Results of the 3260 students,135 were HBsAg positive(4 14%).Among those who were HBsAg positive, 54 cases were HBsAg positive(40%) 75 cases were anti HBe positive(55 56%), and 120 cases were anti HBc positive(88 9%). Conclusion: Compared with ordinary people, HBsAg positive rate of the newly admitted students was lower, thus, strengthening management to those who are HBsAg positive is of great importance to control the spread of HBsAg infection.
