STUDIED ON THE LIQUID ABSORPTION RATE OF SUPER WATER ABSORPTION POLYMER AND ITS MEASUREMENT METHOD

The present situation of liquid absorption rate of super water absorption polymer and its measurement method has been summarized. The general method of liquid absorption rate measured was put forward with filtering method of 100 mesh sieves as measurement. For example, several products of super water absorption polymer synthesized by the wealth modern chemistry LABS, its measuremtnt date reas as follows: the pure water rate absorbed is 1000 g/g~3800 g/g (the highest 4120 g/g), the running water rate absorbed is 400 g/g~1800 g/g, (0.9%)NaCl solution rate absorbed is 120 g/g~198 g/g, being compared with the same document notably to surpass the document value. The effects of soaking time and water quantity on measurement of luquid absorption rate were investigated.
