Extraction and determination of the polysaccharide in radix codonpis pilosulae

Objective:To extract the polysaccharide and measure the polysaccharide content in Radix Codonopsis pilosu lae from good agriculture practice(GAP) areas.Methods:Polysaccharide was extracted from Codonopsis with ultrasonic technique,and its content in Codonopsis was determined with phenolsulfuic acid method.Results:The polysaccharide content in Radix Codonopsis pilosulae was 20.99%,the rate of recovery was 98.43%,and RSD was 1.03%(n=6).Conclusion:Codonopsis has higher content of polysaccharide,and it has value of utilization and development.
