Flocculation characteristic of bio-flocculant to micro-granular Kaolin suspension

66 bio-flocculants microorganisms produced were isolated from the soil sample and activated sludge sample,in which 8 bio-flocculants with the best flocculation effect were used to study the effect of bio-flocculants on the granulometric distribution of microgralular Kaolin suspension after flocculation.Also,the flocculation effects of bio-flocculants dosage and coagulation aid CaCl2 were studied.The experimental results show that the Kaolin suspensions ranged from 0.200 μm to 0.300 μm could be flocculated drastically by 8 bio-flocculants,the effect of the flocculants dosage on granulometric distribution of Kaolin suspension after flocculation is not significant,but the coagulation aids within the concentrations improved flocculation is obvious.
