In electrified railway,electric locomotive run through contact with the top of the pantograph and contact line to get the power. And when the pantograph and catenary separate,arc phenomenon will happen and cause serious influence of railway communication and locomotive power supply. Through the extraction and analysis of the catenary arc spectrum,this paper proposed an arc detection system based on( 250 ± 10) nm ultraviolet light and composed of the optical imaging system,ultraviolet light sensing systems,data analysis and processing system. Through the real-time detection of the arc of pantograph-catenary,it will get pantograph-catenary current quality situation. On the basis of the analysis result,fixedly-point maintains pantograph and catenary to improve the quality of current receiving to ensure the safety of railway operation.
