Objective To study the effect of lysyl oxidase(LOX) on the invasion of the human gastric cancer cell lines. Methods Two human gastric cancer cell lines, including MGC-803 and BGC-823,were cultured in vitro.LOX expression was detected by real-time PCR.Treated with different concentration of β-aminopropionitrile(BAPN).The invasive ability of the two cell lines was assessed by Transwells chamber model. Results LOX mRNA was expressed in both by two human gastric cancer cell lines in different levels.Added 0.2 mmol/L and 0.3 mmol/L BAPN,the invasion ability of the two cell lines were inhibited. Conclusions LOX mar promote the metastasis of cancer cell by enhancing invasive capability.
