Preparation and Application of Brominated Flame Retardant Masterbatch of ABS

Flame retardant masterbatch of ABS was prepared respectively with ABS powder(HR181) as matrix,tetrabromobisphenol bisphenol-A(TBBPA) and antimony white(Sb2O3) as complex flame retardant.The formed brominated flame retardant masterbatch contained 80% TBBPA which named FRMHR1,or complex flame retardant masterbatch contained 60% TBBPA and 20% Sb2O3 named FRMHR1S,rectectively.Meanwhile,the mechanical properties,flowability,flame retardancy and heat resistance effects of flame retardant ABS were investinated.The test results showed the flame retardant masterbatch of ABS had the characteristics as using conveniently,yellowing resistance,good effectiveness of flame retardance,energy conservation and environmental friendly.
