Focusing on LTE/5G systems downlink communication performance, this study assesses the effectiveness of the Signal Overshadowing (known as the Overshadowing) attack on critical channels. Specifically, we innovate a dynamic compensation mechanism for the Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) that achieves real-time modification of the Master Information Block (MIB); simultaneously, we engineer a multi-channel collaborative attack method against the Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). Experimental data based on the USRP testbed show that, on the PBCH, the Overshadowing attack achieved a Target Region Energy Ratio of 71.65 %; on the PDSCH, the attack achieved a 100 % success rate at a relative power of 3 dB. This study pioneers the dual index evaluation of security for Overshadowing attacks on PBCH and PDSCH from the perspectives of energy efficiency and concealment.
