摘要
To compare the operating parameters of 110 kV smooth aluminum sheathed cables and corrugated aluminum sheathed cables, the thermal resistance, loss coefficient and current carrying capacity of the two are calculated by means of an equivalent thermal path analysis. The results show that the thermal resistance and losses of the smooth aluminum sheathed cable are less than those of the corrugated aluminum sheathed cable, which results in a load capacity of 776.88 A for the smooth aluminum sheathed cable, an increase of 10.8% compared to the load capacity of the corrugated aluminum sheathed cable. It is an indication that smooth aluminum sheathed cable has better economic and application prospects compared to corrugated aluminum sheathed cable.
