摘要
We present results on theoretical investigation of acoustic and acousto-optic properties of the single crystal tellurium in the XZ plane of the material. Different cases of anisotropic acousto-optic interaction provided by acoustic waves propagating along X axis of the crystal were examined. We summarized in this paper, a few results obtained from calculation of the acousto-optic figure of merit coefficient for each of the three acoustic modes. We also considered a possibility of developing acousto-optic cells using the acoustic waves propagating along the X axis of the birefringent material.
