Study on Synthesis of N-hexyl Acetate Catalyzed by Silicotungstic Acid

Silicotungstic acid catalyst has been prepared and the n-hexyl acetate is synthesized with silicotungstic as catalyst.The effect of factors on esterification ratio is studied.The result shows that the best reaction conditions are: based on 0.1mol acetic acid,molar ratio of n-hexyl alcohol to acetic acid is 1.4,mass of catalyst is 0.3g,the taking water reagent is 15mL,reaction time is 2h.The yield of the product could reach 99.6%.
