Research on Heat Resistance and Ultraviolet Rays Resistance of PEG /PTMG /IPDI Polyurethane

The heat resistance and ultraviolet ray( UV) resistance property of polyether polyurethane( PU) materials of PEG / PTMG / IPDI system were investigated. The results showed that the tensile strength,heat resistance and UV resistance of the PU increased with increasing PTMG content. The molten temperature of PU materials was low than 150 ℃ measured with DMA,and the PU materials decomposed rapidly with UV irradiation for 72 h at 35 ℃,whose soft segment had 100% PEG content.
