A Contrastive Study between Generative Grammar and Cognitive Grammar

Generative Grammar exerts deep influence on the appearance and development of Cognitive Grammar,but they differ greatly from each other.After exploring the different philosophical foundations between generative grammar and Cognitive Grammar,this article makes a contrast of their features.In the end,the article points out that whether it is Generative Grammar or Cognitive Grammar,they aim at disclosing the relationship between human cognition and language,paving the way for further exploring the secret of human language and cognition.
