Improvement of quartz sand filtration process for vinegar treatment

The ingredient of quartz sand had application in modifying the quartz sand media,and the modified filter was used for vinegar treatment.The influential factors of filtration efficency including ingredient particle size,the amount of ingredient,operating pressure were studied.The optimal condition of the modified filter for vinegar treatment was determined.The experimental results showed that: in the room temperature,ingredient particle size of 20～25μm,the amount of ingredient is m(ingredient): m(solid impurities)=0.32.Under this condition,treatment of vinegar using the modified filter,solid impurities removal is up to 92.3%.The fragrance of vinegar didn't change.
