The clinical analysis of 136 patients with gallbladder proliferative lesion

Objective To study the clinical feature, imageology feature and pathobiology feature of gallbladder proliferative lesion. Explore the relation of imageology feature and pathobiology feature about gallbladder proliferative lesion. Methods The clinical and pathological and imageology data of 136 patients with gallbladder proliferative lesion who had received operation at our hospital from 2000 to 2005 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The upper abdominal pain incidence rate in gallbladder carcinoma patients (68.2%) was significantly higher than that in gallbladder proliferative lesion patients (22.1%). The diagnosis rate of gallbladder proliferative lesion by ultrasonography was 88.5%.In this group, the percent of gallbladder cholesterol polyps patients was 66%, Gallbladder adenomatoid polyps patients was 17%,others was 17%, most gallbladder cholesterol polyps were multiple (56%) and their sizes [(0.94±0.35)cm] were significantly different from multiple gallbladder adenomatoid polyps [26% (1.44±0.12)cm]. The concrement and inflammation incidence rate in gallbladder cholesterol polyps patients was higher than that in adenomatoid polyps patients. The concrement incidence rate in gallbladder cholesterol polyps patients was lower than that in gallbladder carcinoma patients. The size of one gallbladder carcinoma patient’s lesion was 2.2cm. Conclusions Ultrasonography is economic and reliable diagnosis method for gallbladder proliferative lesion. Most multiple gallbladder polyps(1cm) are cholesterol polyps. The concrement incidence rate in gallbladder carcinoma patients is higher than that in other gallbladder lesions.
