Design and Analysis on Two-stage Symmetric Displacement Magnifying Mechanism With Flexible Hinges

This paper introduces a new prototype of displacement magnifying mechanism with flexxible hinges. Both the stress and the displacement loss of the mechanism are analyzed. The model of the displacement magnification is also established, and they are proved by the FEM Program Ansys 8.0. The maximum allowable input displacement is calculated, and the biggest inner restricted feedback force in the mechanism is pointed out .The relation of the displacement loss and the exterior force presents liner characteristic.
