Design and Application of Enhanced Conventional Water Treatment Process

The technical measures and key points of enhanced conventional water treatment processes were introduced. The design and application of enhanced conventional water treatment processes used in a waterworks with treatment capacity of 30 × 104m3/ d were analyzed. The water source for the waterworks is a large reservoir and characterized by low temperature,low turbidity,high potential of colloidal particles in water,slight pollution and difficult treatment. The design adopted the pre-oxidation plus enhanced conventional treatment processes. The related process design parameters were presented, and the solutions to problems existing in the operation were proposed. The waterworks has operated for more than three years with a finished water quality meeting the standard,and its design and operation provide technical reference for construction of waterworks in similar water source areas.
