摘要
This chapter introduces some representative efficient silicon solar cells, including the selective emitter ones, the passivation emitter ones, the interdigitated back contact (IBC) ones, the passivated emitter and rear locally diffused (PERL) contact ones as well as the crystalline silicon/amorphous silicon heterojunction ones and the like. It considers III-V compound crystalline ones and II-VI compound thin film ones. And for the next-generation promising solar cells, the chapter also introduces the organic ones, the dye-sensitised ones, the perovskite ones, the concentrator ones and the multiple quantum well (MQW) ones and so on. Based on the various photovoltaic (PV) materials and device structures, the solar cells can be divided into three types: inorganic, dye-sensitised and organic solar cells. The organic thin film solar cells have attracted more and more eyeballs thanks to such virtues as good flexibility, low production cost and easy to obtain massive and uniform thin film and the like.
