Study on MiR-186 inhabit myogenin expression in C2C12

Myogenin is a major transcription factor that induces muscle cell differentiation and controls the final differentiation step of myogenesis.In this study,the murine C2C12 myoblast cell line was used to investigate whether mi R-186 is a regulator of myogenin.q RT-PCR,Western Blot and luciferase assays showed that the expression of mi R-186 was increased on the first day after induction of differentiation,and mi R-186 repressed myogenin significantly through targeted its 3'-UTR.
