New formulation of the antipsychotic agent risperidone

Risperidone is one of the promising atypical antipsychotic drugs.The new formulation of risperidone includes microparticle and transdermal patches besides the traditional tablets and capsules.The development of risperidone derivatives has given researches the opportunity to introduce new members of atypical antipsychotic drugs.This paper focuses on the current status and trends of risperidone preparations.
