Study on the Preparation and Behavior of Modified SiC Ceramic Slurry

The preparation of SiC ceramic slurry was researched in this article. The modification effect of SiC powder surface by adding different amount of CG-560 were analyzed and the effect of stability and viscosity of the slurry. To study the behavior of the slurry by the amount of CMC-Na,solid content and pH. The studies shown when adding the amount of CG-560 being 2.0 wt%,the stability and viscosity of the slurry were better. The viscosity was 256 MPa·s which the solid content being 50vol% and the viscosity was 592 MPa·s which the solid content being 55 vol% when adding 1.0 wt% of CMC-Na,2.0 wt% of CG-560 and PH=11.5.
