Advances on the mass transfer mechanism and applications in organic solution separation processes via nanofiltration

Advances on mass transfer mechanism and applications in organic solution separation processes via nanofiltration were reviewed. The effects of some factors, such as operating conditions, properties of solution and membrane materials, on NF membrane separation in non-aqueous solutions were concluded and several experiential models were introduced. The applications of nanofiltration membranes in food processing, catalyst recovery and pharmaceutical production were summarized.
