Isopropyl alcohol, diisopropyl ether and water can form a tri-azeotrope system, from which a high purity product is hardly got by conventional separate methods. In this study, ethylene glycol is used as solvent for both extractive distillation columns,by which and by another common distillation column, isopropyl alcohol, diisopropyl ether and water can be separated thoroughly. The products of isopropyl alcohol and diisopropyl ether can get a purity both over 99.5%.The water separated from the azeotropic system is easy to deal with, which contains a trace amount solvent of ethylene glycol.
