Kelley McLauchlan University of Phoenix, School of Advanced Studies United States kmclauchlan12@gmail.com “Flipping the classroom” is a pedagogical concept and model of teaching that utilizes educational technology and engaging activities to positively impact the learning environment. In the flipped classroom, students are provided with opportunities to review, discuss, and investigate content as active learners. Implementing a flipped classroom methodology will enhance the motivation of self-directed learners. This session will provide an introduction to classroom flipping and the instructional design strategies for flipping the classroom.
