摘要
The aquatic propulsion mechanism using the waving-motion of the slender fin, which is excited by a cam and follower mechanism, is developed. The propulsion performance of the aquatic propulsion mechanism is examined by the experiment. As a result, it is found that the fluctuation of the propulsion force and the swimming speed of the aquatic propulsion mechanism become small with increasing the wave number of the motion. And the mean propulsion force and the mean swimming speed become large with decreasing the gap of the narrow channel.
