Prognostic factors analysis of conventional radiotherapy for postoperative breast cancer in 247 cases

Objective: To investigate the prognostic factors of postoperative radiotherapy for breast cancer in 247 cases. Methods: Retrospective study included 247 patients with breast cancer postoperative radiotherapy at the First Hospital of China Medical University from August 2008 to Jan- uary 2015. Patients clinical data and blood routines before radiotherapy were collected. The median was used to the cut-off values for red blood cell count(RBC). Kaplan-Meier method was used to obtain 5-year DFS and OS, Log-rank method for univariate analysis and Cox regression model for multivariate analysis. P＜0.05 represents a statistically significant. Results: Among the 247 patients, RBC before radiotherapy was statistically signif- icant in univariate (P=0.036) and multivariate analysis of DFS (P=0.036, HR: 0.518, 95%CI:0.280-0.958). Histological grade, N stage, ER state and HER2 stage were statistically significant in univariate and multivariate analysis of OS (P=0.005、0.003、0.015 and 0.010 respectively). Conclusion: PLR before radiotherapy was independent prognostic factors for DFS in breast cancer radiotherapy. Histological grade, N stage, ER state and HER2 stage were independent prognostic factors for OS in breast cancer radiotherapy.
