Phosphorescent mechanochromism through the contraction of Ag 12 Cu 2 clusters in tetradecanuclear copper–silver acetylide complexes

Tetradecanuclear Ag 12 Cu 2 acetylide cluster complexes show a dramatic phosphorescent change from yellow to orange with a drastic emission spectral red-shift upon mechanical grinding due to increased intermetallic contact within Ag 12 Cu 2 clusters.
