Criticising images: critical discourse analysis of visual semiosis in picture news

AbstractAbstractThe author of this article aimed to conduct a holistic study on the critical discourse analysis (CDA) of visual semiosis in picture news. Integrating various theories within the field of CDA and multimodal studies, a theoretical framework of critical visual analysis is postulated to facilitate empirical study.
