Effects of spatial confinement on the rate of bimolecular reactions in organized liquid media

The kinetics of diffusion-controlled bimolecular reactions confined to a spherical volume has been investigated. Using random walk simulations, the reaction rate for systems containing up to six reactants has been calculated as a function of the size and the diffusion constant of the reactants and the size of the reaction volume.
