In order to compare the clinical features between sporadic hepatitis E and acute hepatitis B,the age,gender,liver injury,clinical symptom and disease course between acute hepatitis E and B detected in active surveillance were analyzed.ThE results showed that Hepatitis E(28.0%) was the most common disease in acute hepatitis,following by acute hepatitis B(9.2%);the average age of onset of hepatitis E(56.3±13.1) was higher than that of acute hepatitis B(43.0 12.5),and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.4723,P0.0001).In the detected cases,male pateint were mone than that of female,there was no difference in clinical symptoms of both hepatitis E and B;except that jaundice in hepatitis E was more common than acute hepatitis B(P0.05);illness course of hepatitis E was longer than that of acute hepatitis B(t=3.7249,P=0.0003);by 1:1 match of age,liver injury in hepatitis E was severer than that in acute hepatitis B(t=3.5978,P=0.0019).Tn conclusin male patinent were mort than that of female,Hepatitis E was common in middle aged people but in young people it was acute hepatitis B.Both hepatitis E and B were more common in men than women.Hepatitis E was severer than acute hepatitis B by comparing the clinical symptoms.
