Extracting tannin from Herba Agrimoniae

A process to extract tannin from Herba Agrimoniae is studied,and the effects of solvent in the extracts and extraction method on the yield of tannin are discussed.The results show that extraction of cold soaking by industrial grade methanol and then used solvent extraction are satisfaction,the extraction rate of tannin is up to 50%.The result of qualitative analysis shows that the extracted tannin is most condensed tannin.
