Research on the technology and parameters of dynthesizing bio-plastics by employing residual activated sludge

Polyhydroxyalkanoates(PHAs) as a fully biodegradable plastic substitutes,has received extensive attention.Using SBR technology,PHAs can be synthesized by residual activated sludge,significantly reducing the cost of PHAs production.This paper describes the mechanism of synthesizing PHAs,probing and analyzing the impacts of synthesizing PHAs made by various parameters during the process of employing SBR technology,finally recommending the feasible options of treating wastewater by using residual activated sludge to produce PHAs.
