The self-crosslinking acrylic soap-free adhesive was synthesized with ethylhexyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, styrene, hydroxyethyl acrylate and acrylic monomers. The effects of initiator, monomer, emulsion agent, functional monomer and soft/hard monomer ratio on the emulsion properties were discussed and the optimum condition of emulsion polymerization was determined. The emulsion was used for pigment printing and preferable finishing properties were achieved. Also its optimum amount was determined.
