Ten-year-old Magnolia officinalis subsp.biloba were used as the experimental material for the purpose of studying on the regularity of accumulation and distribution of magnolol and honokiol in trees,and mathematical models were established.The results show that the best model of relation between the tree's height and total phenol,magnolol,honokiol are y= –0.053 636x3+0.665 503x2–2.543 869x+3.964 848,y= –0.008 939x3+0.110 233x2–0.419 464x+0.693 864,y= –0.044 697x3+0.555 271x2–2.124 405x+3.270 985,the best model of relation between the tree's height and bark thickness is y= –0.008 965x3+0.031 331x2–0.143 492x+4.941 212.These models can be used in forecasting magnolol and honokiol content and providing scientific basis in bark harvesting of Magnolia officinalis subsp.biloba.
