摘要
Covalent organic framework (COF) structures have been synthesized and doped with Cu2+, Mn2+, and Zn2+. Incorporation of a phenol moiety increases metal doping capacity by 2-5% by mass, and results in increased CO2 adsorption by as much as 40%, compared to undoped structures. Interestingly, gas uptake is improved even though the incorporation of cations in the pore lowers the overall surface area of the structures.
