摘要
The design and development of various metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have possessed an importance, engrossed in the field of electrocatalysis. Due to high porosity, low density, high thermal and chemical stability, high surface area, and tunable physicochemical properties, MOFs exhibit specific attention on numerous electrochemical researches in recent years, in particular, CO 2 reduction reaction (CO 2 RR), oxygen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, and hydrogen evolution reaction, etc. In this chapter, we present the recent development of various MOFs in the field of electrochemical reduction reaction of carbon dioxide to value-added chemicals. The electrochemical transformation of CO 2 into fuels and chemicals is considered a promising approach for providing a solution to the problem of global warming and energy supply. The methods available for the preparation of MOFs and tuning catalytic activities toward the CO 2 RR are highlighted.
