Laundry Section at The Sunan Hotel Solo

AbstrakThis report is based on the job training which has been done by the writer in the Laundry  Section  at The Sunan Hotel  Solo. The writer chose the laundry section to be a topic in this final project report because there are many interesting things which can be studied from laundry, such as the process of handling  guest laundry and the process of delivering guest laundry.The objectives of this report are to describe the duties and responsibilities in the Laundry Section of The Sunan Hotel Solo, the activities,  and the strength and weaknesses in the Laundry Section.In  writing  this  final  project  report,  the  writer  collected   the  data  by observing  The   Sunan  Hotel   Solo,  especially   Laundry   Section,  interviewing Laundry   Chief  and  laundry  staff,  analyzing   data,  and  then  writing   it  into conclusion.From  the discussion,  it can be concluded  that  the  Laundry  Section has duties and responsibilities to the hotel operations, such as receiving guest laundry, washing, drying, presssing, delivering guest laundry,  handling non-guest laundry, and  handling  hotel  linens  and  staff's  uniforms.  Laundry  Section  also  has  its strengths and weaknesses  side. The strengths are: Laundry Section has complete facilities and equipments,  Laundry  Section has good service,  and the guest are always satisfied  with the laundry service. While the weaknesses  are: very small operational  laundry  room,  lack  of relationship  among  the  staffs,  and  Laundry section receives linens from other hotel causes ineffective flow of work.
