摘要
A new magnetron has been developed and introduced into the market for domestic microwave ovens. Fully compatible with the current type 2M172, the new 2M172A has a compact anode with a high thermal endurance, designed by the use of a structural analysis program, (SAP), and a lower power filament designed by a finite element method (FEM). The paper illustrates the design challenges, the evolution and the performance of this series of magnetrons.
