摘要
Abstract Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) as a new type of crystalline porous material with tunable structures are widely used in the field of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution (PHE) due to their large specific surface area and abundant active sites. However, electron‐hole recombination during the photocatalytic reaction process hinders the progress of the reaction. Donor–acceptor (D–A) type COFs can effectively promote charge carrier transport and enhance light harvesting capability by introducing D units and A units into the framework. The D–A COFs have unique advantages in the field of PHE. This concept review concentrates on recent developments in D–A COFs used for PHE and the necessary D and A modules for constructing D–A COFs. Moreover, it summarizes the challenges faced by D–A COFs and the development directions in the future.
