Spalling of normal strength concrete walls in fire

A standard fire test was conducted on four slender concrete walls incorporating two different loading conditions. The results show that pore pressure build-up and flexural cracking due to support conditions plays a major rule in the spalling performance of concrete walls exposed to fire.
