摘要
By successive determination of the temperature dependences of resonance frequencies for torsional and bend vibrations and internal friction vibrations in polycrystalline cubic boron nitride, it was established that isochronal anneal in a dynamic elastic stress field produces a strengthening of boron nitride, including a decrease in high-temperature internal friction noise and a restructuring of relaxation peaks. The peaks are associated with the reorientation of unstable vacancy complexes in alternating mechanical stress field, while the reduction in internal friction background is due to the concentration decrease of point defects. This reduces the degree of crystal-structure distortion and, as a result, strengthens boron nitride.
