Experimental modal analysis for a satellite with flexible appendages

A component mode synthesis based on experimentally determined modal parameters is applied to the solar array paddle of Engineering Test Satellite-VI. The predicted parameters synthesized on the ground are compared and verified with those obtained by the on-orbit excitation test.
